A former tobacco farm is the setting for the Willard Byrd designed Farmstead. Featuring flat wide open links-style fairways, Farmstead flows over the contours of the naturally rolling terrain. In lieu of trees, marsh grass anywhere from 6 to 15 feet high dance along the outskirts of the holes. The greens are somewhat large with a slight undulation and covered with TifEagle Bermuda Grass. With no natural barriers to impede it, the wind that sweeps across the unencumbered landscape is an unavoidable component on this engaging course. Arguably, one of the most unforgettable holes in Myrtle Beach would be the 18th hole. The only par 6 in the area, this 767 yard monster is so long it took 2 states to contain it; tee off in South Carolina and finish up in North. All finished with your round? Unwind on the veranda of the 8,000-square foot Georgian style clubhouse, to complete your adventure.

Always play Farmstead and Meadowlands
These courses are beautiful – beautiful layout. We played farmstead but meadowland was close due to the storm – Florence so we played beachwood course for the first time and this was a great recommendation. thanks…
